ICANN accused of Stonewalling Congress by US Senators Cruz, Lankford & Lee

On Monday, April 4th 2016, Senator and Republican Presidential hopeful Ted Cruz along with James Lankford (R-Okla.), and Mike Lee (R-Utah) have sent yet another pressing letter to ICANN seeking feedback about outgoing CEO Fadi Chehadé’s and ICANN’s relationship with the Chinese government and the planned transition away from U.S. government oversight of the Internet.

The letter (below) reiterates some of the questions the previously letter sent on March 3rd , 2016,  to ICANN, though the wording this time round is much blunter.

Cruz’ office issued a press release with details of the letter under the title of “ICANN Is Stonewalling the U.S. Congress”.

It also expresses clear displeasure and dismay with ICANN’s delay in responding to the previous correspondence .   Here is the whole letter sent on April 4th below:
